Introducing the Ohlone College Forum

In the spirit of providing new ways of communication to the Ohlone College community, I have created an Ohlone College Forum on my personal domain and web hosting account. (A “forum” is also commonly known as a collection of “message boards.”)

*** THIS IS A TEST FORUM. *** If the forum proves useful as a communication tool, a similar forum may be installed on the Ohlone College domain and server computers along with the blogging and wiki software currently being planned for.

Access to the Ohlone College Forum is RESTRICTED to registered members. Registration is restricted to employees or associates of Ohlone College. (I am limiting access to registered members to reduce the amount of spam postings and traffic to my web server.)

TO REGISTER, you must use your Ohlone College username and email address. You will receive an email confirming your registration after it has been finalized. You may then login, look around, and PARTICIPATE!!

It is my hope that the forum will be helpful to faculty, staff, and administration.

Select the “Register” button to register (the username and email you enter must be your Ohlone College username and email address).

Because the forum is installed on my personal website domain, I am the Administrator and the Moderator. I looked at free forum/message board websites, but was not satisfied with their functionality, ads, and administration tools.
